Welcome to the Dordogne!
Nandolle is typical of the buildings which are to be found in the Perigord Blanc
area of the Northern Dordogne, so named because of the chalky limestone formations
found in the fields. The general effect is similar to the Cotswolds in the UK,
except that the Northern Dordogne area reflects more light, producing startling
contrasts within the greenery of the rolling countryside.
The nearest village is Nanteuil Auriac de Bourzac. The nearest town for shopping
is Verteillac which is approximately 4 miles from Nandolle and at 12 miles distant
is the town of Riberac which contains many banks, shops and two large supermarkets.
There are, however many inexpensive and gastronomic restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The general area surrounding the house is quiet and rural. It is ideal for those
seeking peace and quiet and somewhere to relax and unwind. The coast is a
comfortable 2 hours drive from the house.
There is an 18 hole mini-golf course, also fishing, rowing boats and guided walks
all within 10 minutes drive. Canoeing, horse riding, tennis, 18 hole and 9 hole
golf also available all within 40 minutes drive of the property.
